International Women's Day Event

Join us to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026!

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality. Enterprise Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire Women In Business and Athena Networking have joined forces this year to bring you a morning filled with networking, inspirational speakers, and celebration.

Timings: 9.30am – 1.00pm

Venue: Hilton Garden Inn, Marcham Rd, Abingdon OX14 1TZ

We will be joined on the day by two guest speakers; Lucy Briggs from Sustainably Styled and Alice Chilver from WHEN.

Lucy is an award-winning sustainable personal stylist who works with women who have low body confidence and feel no joy in dressing or shopping. Based in Abingdon, she helps them curate and feel amazing in a wardrobe that doesn't cost our Earth. She is passionate about instilling confidence in women and encouraging sustainable fashion practices.

Alice is the Founder and CEO of WHEN, a national movement changing who holds power in UK higher education. Known for dismantling structural barriers rather than “fixing women”, her organisation leads initiatives including 100 Black Women Professors NOW, the Career Accelerator, and the Promotions Scorecard. A former Oxford University and UCL senior leader, Alice advises at board level and was named Business Leader of the Year 2025.

There will also be plenty of networking opportunities, making it an ideal occasion to celebrate our amazing local female talent, foster wonderful business relationships, and promote female empowerment across the region.
